LONDON: British Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BACCI) is collaborating with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Afghan Council of Great Britain (ACGB) to promote and support the Afghanistan versus MCC cricket match on Tuesday 11 July 2017 at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
BACCI in collaboration with Afghan Council of Great Britain will support MCC and promote the event across the country among the British Afghan community to ensure that the match is a success.
Speaking to John Stephenson, former English cricketer and head of cricket at MCC, BACCI and ACGB chairman thanked MCC for promoting cricket in Afghanistan and giving Afghan national cricket team the opportunity to play against some of the world’s best players at Lord’s, one of the finest cricketing venues in the world.
Dr Hotak added “MCC and BACCI might be working in two different industries, sport and business, but the mission remains the same, to help Afghanistan.”
Afghanistan will play MCC, captained by Brendon McCullum in a 50-over contest on 11 July starting at 11 am in the morning.
We are requesting the British Afghan community and all the UK citizens throughout the country to attend the match to show support for sport and peace in Afghanistan, and make the event a success.
Tickets for the match can be bought online or at the gate on the day of the match.
