LONDON: British Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BACCI), along with Afghan Council of Great Britain (ACGB) has announced its full support for the upcoming T20 exhibition match between Afghanistan and The Sir Paul Getty XI at the world-famous Wormsley Cricket Ground in Buckinghamshire.

The decision was made after a telephone call was arranged to discuss the match between Alistair Cane, the head of marketing and business development for Wormsley Estate and BACCI chairman Dr Mohammad Hotak.

Mr Cane and Dr Hotak discussed the importance of the match and the great contributions made by Getty family to British society in art, sports and philanthropy, including the upcoming match, a gift to the British-Afghan community.

Speaking to BACCI press team BACCI director Hassan Khan Nasir said “The upcoming T20 exhibition match between Afghanistan and The Sir Paul Getty XI is an important event for Afghanistan, and for the British Afghan community in Great Britain. We request Afghans from across the country to make sure they buy their tickets and attend in large numbers just like they did last year in Lord’s.’

This will be the last chance to see Afghanistan play in England this year – tickets will be on sale until Wednesday 8th August.

Gates open at 2.30pm. Match starts at 4.00pm
