Bridging the funding gap: BACCI collaborates with World Humanitarian Forum, London 2019

LONDON: British Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BACCI) has partnered up with World Humanitarian Forum, London 2019 to ‘Shape the Future for a Better Tomorrow’.

The forum, which will be held over two days on 17th and 18th April 2019 in Excel, London, will bring together prominent leaders from the public and private sectors, as well as international thought-leaders and pioneers.

BACCI is joining the London event to host leading philanthropists, NGOs and private sector experts to discuss bridging the funding gap in the humanitarian sector.

The world is at a critical juncture; with more people displaced from their homes than ever before, as a result of climate change, natural disasters and conflicts.  In the last two decades 218 million people have fled their homes, at an annual cost to the global economy that now exceeds $300 billion, according to the UN.

It’s a unique and essential opportunity to engage in inspirational, thought-provoking, and future-focused dialogues that aim to shape the future of humanitarian aid and international development, and ultimately help to improve the lives of millions in need.

The Forum is being launched alongside Aid&Trade LondonInternational Disaster Management Exhibition and Emergency Show.

World Humanitarian Forum visitors have VIP access to these additional events, expected to attract more than 4.000 global public and private sector officials and leaders from 50+ countries.

BACCI leadership will chair and speak on important panels along with other world leaders such as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and activists from across the globe.
