LONDON: There are around 2,604 billionaires in the world, according to a report by Wealth-X, a financial research firm.
The Wealth-X Billionaire Census 2019 shows that the vast majority of the ultra-high-net-worth individuals live in the U.S.
The richest billionaires of the world have a total wealth of over $6 trillion, twice the value of the mineral wealth of Afghanistan.

The report found that between 2017 and 2018, the global population of 10-figure individuals declined 5.4% to 2,604. In 2018, more than half of billionaires were between the ages of 50 and 70, 55.8% self-made their wealth and 88.3% were male.
